POWER RANKINGS













Power Rankings after 40 games

1.) New York Yankees. Just rattled off 18 wins out of their last 21.  On fire.
2.) Baltimore Orioles. League's best pitching, constant winning streaks.
3.) Atlanta Braves. Majors' best pitching.  Glavine and Neagle - unstoppable. 

4.) Colorado Rockies. Castilla and Galarraga both hitting .400, incredible. 
5.) Texas Rangers. .296 team average.
6.) Seattle Mariners. Griffey showing no signs of let-up.

7.) New York Mets. Alfonzo destroying right-handers.  Rock-solid pitching.
8.) Cleveland Indians. Only three home runs for Manny.
9.) Houston Astros. .239 team batting average, only 22 HR, but bullpen off charts.

10.) Montreal Expos.  Pedro - (5-2, 1.83 ERA).  Everyone contributing offensively.
11.) Florida Marlins. Sheffield off to abominable start (.165).
12.) Chicago Cubs. Sosa - .299 16/47.  The reason this team is +.500
13.) St. Louis Cardinals. Begging for home run power, but starters among top.

14.) Anaheim Angels. Pitching has issued just 136 BB, but 248 K.
15.) Cincinnati Reds. Deion Sanders - 19 SB, .290 avg.

16.) Milwaukee Brewers. +.500 fluke.  Team home run drought.
17.) Los Angeles Dodgers. Piazza wondering where his help is.  Park & Valdes, great 1-2.

18.) Pittsburgh Pirates. Starters killing this team.  3-4-5 in lineup all +.300.
19.) San Diego Padres.  Gwynn at .418, only 8 strikeouts on year.
20.) Toronto Blue Jays. Clemens - 7-1, 1.32 ERA, a single HR allowed.
21.) Oakland Athletics. Smashing hella' homers, but opp batting average is +.300.

22.) Detroit Tigers. Hunter, Easley, Clark all under-performing.  Lowest team avg. in AL
23.) Boston Red Sox. Majors' biggest dissapointment.  Wakefield's knuckler a joke.
24.) Chicago White Sox.  Lefty batters laughing at Sox starters.
25.) Kansas City Royals. Glendon Rusch has allowed 12 HR in 42 IP, typifies KC troubles.
26.) Philadelphia Phillies. Bullpen is clownish.  2nd to last in HR's hit in ML.
27.) Minnesota Twins. Hitting and pitching both terrible.  Get a grip.
28.) San Francisco Giants. .226 team batting average?  Fags in San Fran are pouting.
